Hello, welcome in!
If life were a journey, consider this a rest stop along the way. Please, take your coat off, stay awhile, I know it can get chilly outside. As I reflect on my journey and those who have gone before me, I'm reminded that we are all somewhere in between two points. Somewhere between an unseen promise and the fulfillment of hope. Somewhere between a prayer offered and a prayer answered. Somewhere between who I was, and who I will be. Even God's children of the Bible, while resting, wait patiently to receive their eternal crowns in new Jerusalem. Like an unfinished canvas awaiting the touch of it's Creator, we together, with expected longing, wait for every promised stroke of beauty.
We won't always wait. The paint strokes will come. The painting will one day be complete. This journey, which will have been worth every tear, will be complete. But til then, we rest in the Hands of the One who has ordained our every breath.
The words you will find here are the musings of one, who like you, longs for the promised land. A fellow traveler dedicated to the joyful trust of God's process of beauty. Consider this a shared place of respite somewhere in between. Something to read while you're waiting...
Yours truly,
Waiting for Paint Strokes...
